How to do an Informational Interview:

Find a company in the Energy or PV industry you are interested in working for and review their website.


Then do an Informational Interview:

Contact a person in HR, Sales, Management or even the CEO.


Questions to ask for Informational Interview:

- How long have you been in business?

- How large is your business - how many employees do you have?

- What is the company's core competency (the primary business they are in)?

- What types of jobs do you have at your company - admin, sales, installers, etc.?

- Are there opportunities for internships?

- Can you let me know if there are any job openings in the future?  (Possibly add my name to your list.)


* After your informational interview ask for the contact information of the person you talked to - Name, phone, email - so you can send a thank you!
